Cold Chain

Notes from the cold chain side of our work: how a refrigerated body is specified for a particular route, why panel thickness and refrigeration capacity have to be chosen together, what container loading does to a body that was never braced for it, and what actually fails first on a reefer in West African service. Entries are written by the export team from jobs we have quoted, built or shipped — the pull-down times we measured, the panel damage we saw on arrival, the questions buyers asked before they ordered. If you are specifying a first reefer fleet, start with the body thickness guide; if you already run one, the loading and inspection notes are the practical ones.
